I left my garage behind in about 1987, reluctantly. More kids than cars meant more bedrooms needed.

A ground floor bedroom is now a 'workshop' - not that any work takes place there - or very rarely and briefly anyway. Mostly used to fire junk and tools in then sort out when it is no longer possible to find anything.

Judging by my observations of many garages around here, you are far from alone in that Steve!

Fully wirh you on the garage Jim When we went house hunting in 1978 we found a 3 bed semi with a triple garage, left side held a workshop, centre a mk2 Lotus Cortina, and right side a Ferrari Dino. The right side had been added joining the original double garage to the house with pedestrian door from garage straight into the lounge.by the previous occupier and the chap we met had replaced the pedestrian door with a full length picture window making the Dino appear as 3D wall art!! It was fantastic but we didn't buy it because the kitchen was too small!!!! Regrets....I've had a few.......... :(

White Tesla 3 that almost merged with my car - I might have had a hybrid, although slightly mangled.

Almost snap! Following a white Tesla 3 up the A1 and a second identical car joined from the M25 junction and "bracketed" me!! Scary!!!

Red Tesla S - couldn't miss it though, following it out of a congested car park.

As well as the usual Leafs, don't often come across a Hyundai Kona but saw one today, plus a e-mini or a mini-e whatever they call it, and a Northumberland rarity...a Renault Zoe.

A chap came and collected from me this morning in his Outlander PHEV. Does that count on this thread? :?:

Well a plug in is slightly better than a mild hybrid or self charging hybrid. Never delved into the operation of that particular hybrid although one is a regular charger hogger, but I know the owner now, and they are quite happy to be unplugged if they have finished charging.

I think they can do around 28 Miles on electric-only which if you could put it into electric only mode for the average UK single journey surprisingly may be adequate. Did you chat with him about it Mick?

Yes I did, because one of the chaps I used to work with had one with issues, I asked the chap about them. He told me he charges it overnight at home and then drives to work 21 miles where he charges during the morning for his return journey. He only has to fill the tank every 8 weeks or so which is usually used up by a 60 mile round trip to his parents at weekends. My chap's issues were largely down to the fact that he never plugged it in to charge and used to drive too far too fast and be plagued by the turtle light and the ensuing limp home mode. We had a fair battle with Mitsubishi until he accepted that his driving and general misuse were the main cause. A very capable vehicle if used correctly I feel!! :)

Black Tesla S. Only realised what it was when I caught up to it - something that rarely happens.

I saw a Mercedes today at the charge point. Not an gross SUV, but what I would term your bog standard ordinary Mercedes saloon. Nothing particularly offensive about it. It was a 70 Reg, had some kind of Eco token badging on it and it has a cable attaching it to the charging point. The boot badge was an A followed by a Merdedes 3 digit model number which could well have been followed by an "e". I presume its a hybrid, but curiousity will get me looking it up.

Saw a White Hyundai Kona on the road.

It must have been one of these. Offers on for around £31,000. Does up to 45 miles in all-electric mode.
