Intermittent starting Citroen C2

Post by CitreonC2 »

Hi all, just helped my daughter get what we thought was a nice little car! Turns out there's a bit of a problem. So it's a 2006 Citroen C2, but is sometimes it starts fine, then others it turns over with loads of battery life but won't fire. It's going in the garage on Tuesday, I just wondered if anyone can give a few pointers please?

The best thing you can do is get a diagnostic done and provide us with any daily codes you get. That should provide some idea of the problem (s).

Petrol or diesel? What engine size would be good info to start with?
Are there any warning messages coming up on the screen when its not starting?
Does it make any difference if the engine is hot or cold?

Hi both, thanks, it's a 1.4 diesel. When it doesn't start it's been cold, first thing in the morning. The RAC plugged in and "major fault" displayed on their computer, he then suggested an issue with fuel pressure, but wasn't sure.
