Assuming the car is fairly new and on original tyres I would say it has done around 8-10k. Wirh the condition of the disc, tread, sidewalls and sills I'd say it lives with a gravel drive with a few deep bits!! :-D

A blue Hyundai Ioniq in the new charging bay at Tesco yesterday, first car I've seen in there And a blue Tesla 'something' while I was sitting waiting outside the post office.

I'll have to look at the dash cam to see if it caught the Tesla.

Red has been the colour of the day for electric vehicle spots, A red Jaguar I-Pace, a Red Testa Model X, and this rather nice MG ZS EV in Dynamic Red.

The regulars are TESLA model 3's, plenty around, and Leafs.....(yes its autumn!), and yes the I-Pace.

The Zoe is almost conspicuous by its absence.

Peugeot 3008. I wasn't aware that it was electric but a house near my son's has had it's garage converted into a kitchen with sockets on the wall facing the drive. Had to look it up and it's a hybrid.

Must have passed it a couple of hundred times as it is about fifty yards from where I leave my car for him to use.

Hyundai Ionic, and BMW I 3.

I reckon I can offer 100 points for a spot of one of these , but only in yellow. No doubt built to order so you are unlikely to see a row of them on a Honda Dealer' forecourt.....fairly universally recognised as being expensive, and not the greatest spec for room and range ..but.....it fits into a very small category....electric cars that have a cool factor and desirable...

I'm always saddened when I see a garage conversion... Such a shame but then perhaps it's only me who looks at the garage first before the rest of the house...

Even if a modern car won't fit, having a workshop is still an absolute necessity. I just cannot imagine how anyone can live without a garage :?

The 3008 wouldn't have fit and they seem the type that leases their cars and perform no maintenance.

You can live without a garage Jim, as Mick will tell you, I've been doing so since 1992, the close my house sits in was built too close to the boundary fence so no room.

I do have a workshop but it's not wide enough for a car, even a small one but I've repaired everything from Minis to high top LWB Transits on my front yard since I bought the place.

Perhaps I should have said workshop Eric, as that has what my garage has always been. Only very recently have I made room for a car in it.

Like you, I have done everything on my driveway including many engine swaps, clutch has, gearboxes and even scrapping a few 😃

My main point remains that I think it's a tragedy when a perfectly good garage is repurposed into someting that can no longer be used as a garage or workshop. It would be a deal breaker for me if I was on the search for another home.
