Well the pylon is ringed in Red, the Pig is in the yellow circle. As far as I can tell the ETL runs from the sub station at Blaydon to Low Harker junction in the north of Carlisle.

Yes excellent work Mick

As you know from your stroll, the entrance gates at the top you photographed from the B6318 as you passed by, but you cant park or drive down that track in the car. Didn't realise you could get at it from underneath via the Pink route!

The pylon is to the righthand side of the track as you look at your map and is line XB which as you say goes from West Stella over to a sub station at Harker nr Carlisle. Again never heard of Harker. Stella used to be power stations nr Blaydon, not sure if they are still on the go. Tower number 214.

Its very much in a rural landscape so not the sort of uses so far proposed, and its not for an agricultural building.

The location where the pile of materials was dumped was "Little Mill", not far from our coffee and cake stop (POTD) yes and the construction materials have nothing to do with "mills".

Not this time Steve. and not that Mick.....follow this little trail and you wont be far off working out their purpose.

If you search Little Mill Northumberland, Little Mill Craster, or follow the road from Craster to Denwick/Alnwick you will find Little Mill. Should help narrow down the range of possible uses for what is a bit of specialist and precise concrete casting and forms, and concrete beams.
