PS You may have missed the Whatsthisthen? Buckinghamshire Speciall

Eventually it got nailed by Gibbo, seems like the history of automotive manufacture in Buckinghamshire is not that well known. I did pose the question "What was the best car to come out of Buckinghamsire?" in the final reveal...maybe you could let us know your view :-D

Bit of colateral trivia Jim....

Obviously of the two directions on your fingerpost "Bozeat" has the more interesting name.

Original home of of the BBC no less, and with subsequent lnks to the football boots worn by Bobby Charlton and Bobby Moore..............

Interesting on Bozeat Neil :) It's a grotty little village and best avoided - one to pass through rather than linger in... Unlike the other village in the sign - Grendon - and the little village of Easton Maudit where I bagged the sign...

Both are achingly beautiful...

Easton Maudit has a nice church too :)

The car made in Bucks was unknown to me... I thought only Aston Martins were made here and as they were once made not a Swallow's flight from my house they have to be my choice :)

For me it's a toss-up between the DB5 and the Lagonda...

Is Bozeat the only example of "z" in an English place name taking the Serbo-Croat pronunciation?

Yes, you made a reference to it not being what it was (bit like Eccles really) but then the correct pronunctiation (so far as anything's correctly pronounced in Northants) is all I recall of the place but, depressingly, I've been back in The Smoke for longer than I was up there.

Taken during my bike ride today 😃 This one was missing a 'finger' for ages but now has a nice new one...

This sign points to two significant destinations. My home town and my former place of gainful employ 😉

Newly refurbished...
One I'm always keen to return to and the other I have no intention of returning to ever 🤣 I served a life sentence of 42 years there with no time off for good behaviour...
