And an exploded view of the Mercedes F1 car at Brooklands moves me south of the river to claim Surrey!

Since the map includes Rutland it's only right to post my viaduct from viewtopic.php?p=622659#p622659
and thereby claim Rutland! :-D

I am continuing my rampage north of the border and claiming the heart of Midlothian with the picture which launched I-Spy Citroen H Vans
NewcastleFalcon wrote: 01 May 2014, 22:02 Now then, anyone who was a child in the 1950's or 1960's will well remember Big Chief I-Spy and those little books which sold in their hundreds of thousands. There was even a bit of a revival when Michelin started churning them out when my girls were growing up. I think the I spy Classic Cars actually has a Morris Marina in it now! (edit-not quite but it does have a Ford Sierra/ Austin Maxi and Austin Allegro in it :!: )

So I am claiming 50 points for an unusual spot

This is Dumbo, the Soup Van of the "Union of Genius" Soup Café , Forest Road, Edinburgh.

Read the review of the black pudding, chorizo, butterbeans and tomato soup :)

Conscious of hogging the country here but I have photos for Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall bursting to get out but I thought Peter and Gibbo and Colin might have some from over there so they stay here chomping at the bit as long as I can hold them back!! :-D

I gave Peter a gentle nudge on POTD. If you've visited Ireland at any time Mick have a paddle around there amongst the old photo albums, or in my case box full of loads of unorganised packets!

I have pretty much exhausted all my readily accessible archives now. I have a couple of thousand photos and slides up in the loft which is where they are staying for the time being :-D Too cold to go poking around up above our insulation, that does include South Wales tour, Central Wales, and a rallying trip to Dublin and lots of Kent. I have 1500 or so images on my 2Terra USB drive which doesn't want to play for some reason. I have tried accessing it from two laptops and my desktop and while it shows a green LED and you can hear it whirring the PC's are not able to access it. Rather annoying as it was my primary backup drive for photos etc!! :(

This is the church in Bangor-is-y-coed (Bangor on Dee). Nowadays it's part of Wrexham but back in the day it was in Flintshire. Interestingly, Flintshire was split into two parts and Bangor-is-y-coed was in the smaller part.

As its English name suggests, the village sits by the River Dee. This is the old five arch bridge across the Dee and the other side is Denbighshire (already taken I know).

Have to apologise to the Norfolkians, but I think I have done much to advance Norfolk's presence on our humble forum, with the ulterior motive of meeting the FCF AA Box Challenge. I am going to claim Norfolk with the capture of the AA Box at Brancaster, for which a holiday to that fine county from the wilds of Northumberland was purposely arranged!

If anyone wants to add more to our Norfolk knowledge we have this thread What do you know about Norfolk :?:

A few years ago my wife and I had a wander round Coventry which gives us Warwickshire.

Last one for tonight I think. This is Cawdor church in the historic county of Nairnshire.
