In September 2020, for the first time in European history, registrations for electrified vehicles overtook diesel

Good news for the planet, bad news for my car's residual value!! :( :( :)

Not that its going to have many of us troubling the scorers but Bentley are set to go all-electric from 2030....

As far as style goes I think they have lost it, but they are probably one of the best at big, ugly and in your face ostentatiousness. Class and style adjectives no longer apply.

Getting that over sleeping policemen might be interesting. Actually, getting it over slightly raised ironworks could require some careful (and slow) driving!

Indeed, I witness low cars taking it very gently over our town speed humps and raised junctions whilst out on my morning runs...

I end up overtaking them and moving significantly faster through the town as they can

At that price I'd have one immediately despite its looks and my lack of convenient charging points!! However interesting to note that there are only two none native cars in that sales list, the Model 3 and the Passat! Clearly the populace support their own country......food for thought!! :)

Here’s a quick review of the MG5 - which as far as I know is the first mass produced Estate BEV ?

Price is not too bad either by BEV standards at around £24k.

Although most of my cars have been hatchbacks, (and two sedans) my first car (a GS) was an Estate so I have a soft spot for Estates, especially ones like this that aren't overly extended and uglified compared to their hatchback counterparts.

If the price and range was right I'd happily buy an Estate BEV over a Hatchback as a family car. It's a shame that it's taken this long for one to appear and that there is still only one to choose from!

Yes I know "everyone" wants compact SUV's these days and car makers pander to that market, but I think there's still a bit of life in the Estate and hopefully it will see a resurgence...

I agree, a good estate always trumps an SUV 🙂 Good to see 👍
