Methinks you look down too much:
Spoiler: show
WO = Wash Out
FH = Fire Hydrant
AV = Air Valve
SV = Sluice Valve

and the one you missed

NRV = Non Return Valve
:-D

bobins wrote: 16 Oct 2020, 20:57 A completely random quiz question apropos of nothing:
Where would you find the letters WO FH AV SV ?

There'l be a very small cohort of FCF bods that'll know the answer straight away :)
Did you miss out NRV from your list?
Spoiler: show
Surface Box Covers Labelling
FH Fire Hydrant AV Air Valve SV Sluice Valve/Stop Valve WO Wash Out

I missed out NRV on purpose as it's such a rarity. All the others are easy to find :)
Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(

Following on from POTD and discussions about the great achievers in Sport here is a montage of 10 of the greatest achievers IMHO but backed up by results.
Pretty easy to research them but TOH how many can you identify?

a decent enough crop of definites
Spoiler: show
Muhammad Ali, Jack Nicklaus, Roger Federer, Stephen Hendry, Phil Taylor, Pele,
educated guesswork while not instantly recognising them
Spoiler: show
I presume Eddie Merckx given your previous declaration, and I also presume Lewis Hamilton must be the chap in the hat

The swimmer I presume is Michael Phelps
more guesswork than anything else
Spoiler: show
Could that be a squash player with a name something like Jahengir Khan

One is Ali, who was a great person even if he did bash a few brains out. He was friends with Jackie Evancho so gets brownie points for that.
I share a name with one of the others,

Now that answer suggests the viewing of the right document, but the place is not the name in the spoiler.
