Hello, the oil temp indicator is acting weird, the temperature goes down and the comes back to the right level continiously while running. Is this problem know?
is the sensor or the connector faulty or dirty or what could it be? Where are they located?

I think the sensor is in the sump but try a BSI reset, that seems to be responsible for a lot of odd behaviour.

I've searched but for it but not sure if it is the right one, do you have a link for a BSI reset guide for the C5 X7?

Hello, so I've done the BSI reset but the oil temperature indicator is still not working and since a while (also before the bsi reset) it changed behaviour in comparison to what I described in the first post.
Now when the car is moving it shows no temperature at all but when the car isn't moving it starts to dispaly the temperature.
Do you guys have any idea?
