A sign of days to come:
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
One screen to send you to sleep and one to intellectually stimulate and entertain
I love snooker and used to play it very regularly years ago on a full size table but every time I've tried to watch it on TV.... ZZZZzzzz
Cricket does the same... And F1... Very soporific...
Honestly, the FCF does indeed entertain and intellectually stimulate me... A wonderful oasis in a crazy world

I like to have a balanced view on life
Me too and my cue rests peacefully in the wardrobe these days!
I love watching any sport as long as there are no horses involved!! Looking forward to many events in the next 4 weeks!!

Looks like you've dug out some of your widest flared jeans from the 70's Jim on that pic.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
A rather prettily misty morning in Paggers caught rather nicely in the street lights
Photo taken at 04:50 this morning during my lockdown exercise...
Street lights are not LED but are high-pressure sodium

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I like a drop of song lyrics in photo titles Jim, good work
Do HP Sodium start yellow and go white Jim. One of the decidedly yellow lights I photographed I noticed when I was passing the other day is now bright white....so its either been replaced or it was just warming up when I took the photo
This was a few weeks ago....now its bright white.
Regards Neil

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Good on you spotting the song lyric there Neil It just seemed very appropriate for my love of the morning, the scene and my adopted hone town
HP sodium start yellow'ish but not for long before going a bright bronzy-white. They offer a bit of colour rendering against the almost total absence of rendering in their low pressure brethren... Those in the picture are in special custom lamp standards and don't lend themselves to LED conversion very easily. Two are currently faulty and have been for a while. It'll be interesting to see what happens to them...
The lamp you show looks like a low pressure sodium to me.. If it's now pure white with good colour rendering, chances are it's been converted to LED. If it's bronzy-white it's likely to have been converted to HP sodium...

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
So where's the entertainment on the FCF today?
Well there is the magnificent seven over on the Whatsthisthen thread if you think you know about French cars...
and a nice whizz though the Paris "Salon de l'automobile" from 1951 to 2004 here....not quite up to British Pathe and their efforts on the Motor Show over here , but good none the less!
The P.E. Video Show
Regards Neil

Update on our XM stock, the red one at the r/h end seems to have dissapeared completely. The 406 is the only one that's ours, been there about 10 years and it's still dry inside!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I had to go to my mate's workshop for emergency supplies and came across these:
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!
