So a slow starter, has everyone on the FCF not had a favourite interior, or dash, clocks et cetera in their stable or former stable of cars.....I would think so.

Heres a small piece of interior I remember from our first car the white gearstick knob on a Ford Anglia...(yes this example is the "Prefect")

Probably my favourite interior from cars I've owned and driven often. It was such a nice place to be:

and very nice too Mick, thats the type of thing :-D .

In a more mundane observation, I did like the comforting glow of the orange and green clocks on a SAAB 99 at night. We had a few. I'll see if the internet can provide a pic.

The only other dashboard from one of my cars which qualifies as interesting was my Lancia HF Turbo. I have found a picture on the web to give you an idea as I cannot find my 80's picture discs!!: :-D

Strange as it may seem that particular version, the Sovereign, does not do it for me because I am not keen on the marquetry inlaid lines in the door wood cappings, I prefer the plain wood in my Sport and secondly there is no sunroof. Also of course it does not have the highly prized red "Sport" boot badge which was one of the ridiculously small things that I liked so much. :-D Add that to the slightly darker leather and the ludicrously expensive running cost of the 4.0 litre and it makes no sense at all nowadays, I just about convinced myself that I could afford to run the 3.2 but in the end I had to give in to my conscience and get a much smaller engined play car, the Mazda 323F which preceded the MX3!! :-D

You could have a go at this multiple choice quiz....the first five are give-aways

Name the car (multiple choice) from the Instrument cluster.

https://autoclassicastorage.co.uk/instr ... -identify/

14 out of 19 for me! with no great skill or knowledge applied!

For me the best of those was either my Lancia or I really like the simple clarity of the Lamborghini:
