Couple of BX19D parts - bit of help needed

Post by white exec »

Easy one first:
The BX needs a new dipstick top, as the yellow plastic has crumbled away (as they do).
Will make a new top, but can can anyone check this dimension for me?
L = distance from top underside to H mark.
Dipstick length 3.jpg
The engine is a 1905cc XUD9A, 1992 year (RP 5800)
VIN is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

The other thing relates to a dead tachometer.
Engine speed sensor (TDC sensor) seems to be open-circuit, and has no output.
Cit. parts list three sensors:
5918 80 Engine speed sensor 1905L & 16S
1920 C3 Engine speed sensor 1905L
5918 75 TDC sensor

I'm guessing that the first two are for the petrol engines?
Is the last one for the diesel? Second one?
I need the correct OE pt.no. to be able to chase a replacement (all NFP at Cit).

Thanks for finding those - I'll go for one if I get stuck. Would like to know the dimension in any case, even just to check that an aftermarket one is correct.

Can anyone help confirm the correct pt.no. for the diesel tdc sensor?
