Ds5 gearbox

Post by arturshehu »

Greetings! I have a DS5. I have a problem with the gearbox. When I take it to "D" it gives me a car kick. I checked it with PC but it does not register any problems.

As for the problem, does this happen more when the gearbox has warmed up or cold?

If you have changed the oil and reset the oil counter using a diagnostic tool, then I suspect you may have an issue with the electro valves / hydraulic block, but it will need looking at for a proper diagnostic.

You'll have to do a bit of searching on AM6 gearbox repairs in Albania - or get some advice from Citroen Albania perhaps?

Not me - you :rofl2:

AM6 is the common name of the gearbox used on the DS5 and other PSA vehicles of this age. These gearboxes are made by Aisin Warner and are also commonly found on other vehicles - have a look here:

Hello! I have a problem with the gearbox Aisin TF80SC DS5 citroen. I changed the oil. I bought a lemon for 35 euros per liter. I changed the solenoid block. The problem that the box gives me is that it gives me a shock, or it starts with momentum when I send the lever to D. This start with momentum or with shock only makes me when the engine temperature goes 90c °. If the temperature is below 90 ° the box functions normally without any problem. please who has information to help me? if I move the lever from automatic to manual again the shock is lost

Well given where you are did you get the right ATF oil,you need what some companies call long life oil it is important to find the right oil spec, you would also need say at least 10 litrs there is a how to do the oil change on here somewhere,it involves emptying the box then filling it running it up to temp and then emptying it again to clean out the box and then refilling again,I did this to my DS5 with a similar problem to you and it has been fine ever since

Please advice on changing the oil in the automatic gearbox. Shall I do a service fill? By draining from the bolt and filling up to spec or a complete flush?
Thanks!

The correct procedure is below. You can't drain the torque converter fully - the capacity is 7 litres - 4 litres remains in the torque converter, meaning you can only really change 3 litres at a time - so you need to do at least 3 flushes over a few months to get as near a full change of oil as you can.
