Much binding in the marsh? --- RICHARD MURDOCH & KENNETH HORN

ITMA? TOMMY HANDLEY

Take it from here? JIMMY EDWARDS & DICK BENTLY

Up the pole? JIMMY JEWEL & BEN WARRISS

Which special agent had the quarter to seven slot on the light programme before the Archers took it over? DICK BARTON

Thanks for that Neil, I didn't listen to all of it but they were standard BBC accents for the '50s, didn't stand much chance of getting on with a regional accent - which I think was a shame.

That is spooky, I was watching The Avengers this morning and I could not remember the name of the chap who played the quick change artist. I knew he was in a sitcom with Hylda Baker about a factory they owned as brother and sister but I could not get his name. I have spent all day avoiding the DDG option and I logon here to find the answer staring me in the face in your answer!!! Cheers Peter :-D

In the New All Creatures Great and Small

Which Village in the Yorkshire Dales is portrayed as Darrowby :?: pretty easy...

but.... where is this......any and all research methods are ok. I dont know where it is, but I dont think the film makers would have been able to mess about with the Royal Mail Post Box. Screenshot from Series 1 Episode 1 at about 27 minutes available on My5 catch up. https://www.my5.tv/all-creatures-great- ... 3cd971b25e

Nothing short of inspired Mick. Well done. Would you be willing to reveal your method? Very quick I hoped at least the OS map would have to be out of the entire Yorkshire Dales, and a few hours of study!

There's still the easy one to answer :-D

Indeed I will, I DDG'd "postboxes in the Yorkshire Dales" then selected the image results and scrolled down until I found a match. I have now added a link to the site from pinterest. I haven't looked into the site of Darrowby yet but I know that in the original series it was a mixture of Pickering and Thirsk. I'll have a look at the new series now. :)

It would appear that they used Grassington for this series.
Grassington was the centre of Darrowby

Grassington it is...there are ev charging points there now!

I have driven through the dales many many times, virtually all parts, but when I saw your answer as Yockenthwaite and you posted it up so quickly I thought Micks just made that name up!

Gives anyone the chance now to recreate the scene with their own vehicle when next in the Dales! :-D

Yockenthwaite Farm in that scene was used for the Aldersons Farm, where James future wife Helen lived.
