Does anyone remember these old radio shows? WARNING! to remember some you will have to be nearly as old as me.

Who were the main characters:

Much binding in the marsh?

ITMA?

Take it from here?

Up the pole?

Which special agent had the quarter to seven slot on the light programme before the Archers took it over?

Which daily serial was about a doctor's wife?

Who was Bert Weedon?

Can we have those who remember them before you look them up.

Vaguely remember ITMA and Bert Weedon was often on TV - kids programs mostly it seemed.

The doctor's wife thing seems distantly familiar, the rest - nothing :(

In "Much Binding in the Marsh" there was (according to Wikipedia) a Mr. Blake the sexton, just to add to the confusion!

ITMA? Tony Hancock?

Take it from here? Don't Know

Up the pole? Don't Know-predecessor of "Round the Horn!? with Kenneth Horn

Which special agent had the quarter to seven slot on the light programme before the Archers took it over? Dick Barton

Which daily serial was about a doctor's wife? Guess-Mrs Dale's Diary

Who was Bert Weedon?"Play in a day with Bert Weedon" Guitar player and tutor

Reading Neil's answer there for ITMA and the initials triggered a thought, was it Tommy Handley rather than Tony Hancock? :?:

Niel

Your on the right track with Kenneth Horn but wrong programme

Mick

Tommy Handley is correct. Died quite suddenly I remember quite a shock for me I was only a kid.

I will give the rest of the answers tomorrow - if they haven't all appeared.
