An old but well looked after cream MG roadster, somewhere in the badlands of Teesdale.
A very nice Triumph Herald, 'J' suffix approaching Chester Le Street - passed me on the A1 north just as I turned off, going very well by the look of things.

Captured on my bike camera today...

I have no idea what this vehicle is... It could be a Morgan as there is a Morgan dealer nearby...
Is it a Morgan?
Is it a Morgan?
Maybe it was out on a test run.

Hoping the bonnet is not up for anything serious...

Jim.....I guess you were mid "time-trial" but to give us a chance you could have stopped and discretely captured the number plate.

You're right Neil :) No way I could stop as I was chasing these two! We were fairly hammering along at the time :D

As the full frame photo shows ;) We do rather enjoy pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones when we three get together for a ride :D

Lots of testosterone gets thrown around on these rides and however hard we try to resist they always end up very competitive...

Had I stopped I'd have never have seen them again and missed being bought a coffee at the cafe!

The Stroll threw up quite a few classics so I have picked out three for their rarity value on the road:
Own work
Own work
Own work

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

My mate's parents had an Austin (7?) like the one at the bottom. Used to go all over the place in it, 1950's.

It was unusual for the time that his mother drove, his dad couldn't.

Spotted a beautiful MK1 1983 VW Golf in black hooning around MK today. It was being followed by an almost new Golf.

The difference in size of the two Golfs was astounding  Especially the width! The MK1 looks slim and svelte whereas the new model looks like an old lardarse who's spent too long in Greggs

No pictures as I was driving and Robyn was nattering on snapinstaticktockchatbook or whatever the current trending social media app. is

Yes and I'm in the "Mercedes hold little interest for me Club" but I was moved to snap this fairly recently which did lead to an interesting diversion into German beige Taxi's.
NewcastleFalcon wrote: 18 Aug 2020, 22:21 Here's an on the street spot. A Mercedes 190 catching my eye surely not. Was it the unusual colour or its delightfully boxy shape I dont know but I got the camera out and snapped it.

So the challenge is to create something interesting directly relating to Jim's Mercedes post :-D

To be fair to the Merc driver, they did give Jim a properly wide berth :)

The car is a Blue Mercedes (R107) 450SL Auto 1973 (November) reg WHJ498M 4520cc

Well the most interest I have turned up is the discovery of Slades Garage....I like an old garage when I put in "R107 Buckinghamshire into the search engine out popped this....a mere 300SL but blue.
Maybe Jim knows it SLades Garage, Church Road, Penn, Buckinghamshire, HP10 8LY (Second thoughts maybe not its down near High Wycombe-canny bike ride from Paggers!)
