Love the artwork on stamps, the subjects chosen and the history, an absolute treasure trove in all countries across the world, and perhaps a well loved relic, much of the purpose for which they were originally designed having been superceded by print your own labels and tracking barcodes.

A decent bit of stamp artwork gets a like from me :-D

Behind the trees is a viaduct on the Derwent Valley Railway.....but difficult to get a clear picture of it due to the steep bankside covered in trees. You can see why the Red Kites have been successfully re-introduced to the Derwent Valley. Rich extensive woodlands/parkland. Saw one today as you often do just flying over the rooftops of Rowlands Gill on the road up to Consett.

Well, as I have just hit my 999th like, I did a quick search, and found this (probably not the right emergency number for THAT country, but 999 is the number for the emergency services)

That is a Police Citroen Xantia Activa.

I went out for a stroll from the house this morning. And Lo ! what did I see........ ?

A mast :-D
Midhurst transmitter 1 - own work

Midhurst transmitter 2 - own work

And a bit further on - a panoramic of the South Downs. It's a decptive photograph as it actually shows the Downs from out past The Devil's Dyke on the left , to way past Butser Hill transmitter station on the right. 5 points to Neil if he can pinpoint on an OS map where the panoramic photo was taken this morning :-D

You aren't very generous with your points Bobins for a days hard slog over bing's ordinance survey approximations! My outstanding performance for Liblice may not be repeatable in West Sussex!

Can't start it until much later today, so I think plenty of opportuniy for others to leap in :-D

I'll have a punt at GR SU 86987 24510 based on the track you are looking down, the kink in the ETL and the proximity of Midhurst mast!! :-D

That would have been on a different walk, Mick. :) The photo was taken considerably closer to the mast :-D There's a reservoir visible in the photo.......
