That's what I thought. Been and looked for it but it was hours ago so no chance.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
That's a real pain Steve, was it a good SLR or a snapper?

Fortunately just the Pentax. SLR is safe.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
This morning I continued my series of runs to visit our special town boundary/welcome signs
I found this one up by our very famous M1 motorway services...
Sorry for the quality, it had barely got light when I took this picture...
I was a little surprised we'd have a sign celebrating something as mundane as our 'Servy' but then it was one of the very first on the M1, opening in 1959 - the year of my birth!
I suppose that makes them both old enough and special enough to be considered a monument and worthy of celebration
The services as depicted on the sign are how they were originally and the current services look nothing like, having been through many stages of evolution over the past 60 years...

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
As a schoolboy my Dad treated me to a ride up the M1 on a Premier coach afternoon trip to visit those newly opened services. Mum took my older sister to the hairdressers to "balance" my treat. I definitely got the better deal because I got a hot dog and a pepsi while she had to settle for tea and biscuits!!

Mick, that's magic
If you ever find yourself in need of a bit of R and R next time you are traversing that stretch of the M1, get in touch and pop in for a visit - it would be good to see you
I can however, only offer vegan fayre and coffee with caffeine removed...

Not one of the better days for photography. But the determined POTD-er can still come up with something new.
Yes I have been to Kelso many times but never before have I noticed the leaning and laden pear tree at the car park behind the Abbey...

Peugeot have to call it the One Thousand and Seven, as Pinewood Studios (or, possibly, the Ian Fleming family) have copyrighted the 007 brand.NewcastleFalcon wrote: 02 Sep 2020, 19:23Its a Pickled Egg "Wait for the penny to drop" before you get it" post.

Michael Portillo visited this interesting bar/restaurant in Wenceslas Square Prague. Looks fun!
