how many c5 mark 2 ram variants are there?

Hi alll

Discovered my C5 helpfully depositing little puddles of orange when i parked it...

Did they change LDS to orange to make it look prettier than the more traditional green coloured puddles i used to get?

Anyway looks like a leak from my rear ram does anyone know how many variants of the ram there are so i can see if i can source a second hand one, i think the estate and saloon are different but is there a difference between the Hydractive 3+ and others?

Any help/advice gratefully received as i havent fiddled around with before

Check first that it isn't just the gaiter punctured. Had that twice. Cheap replacement.
They are designed to leak into the gaiter from where the LDS is returned to the reservoir.

Replacement rams are very difficult to get hold of.

A quick check suggests there is no difference between the saloon & estate models, The only difference being H3 or H3+.
They are also sided Left & Right.
And yes LDS id orange.

I wouldn't bother looking for a used one, just refurb what you have. I've done two sets on my cars and it's reasonably straight forward to do!
Get a seal kit and gaiters from Eurocarcare.net Just make sure you get the right Dia seal kit. You might need to call them as not all sizes are in their online store.
I also recommend changing the pipe as it's likely to break when you try to remove it.

a quick heads up but citroen no longer stock the ram/strut and nor does anyone else it seems....currently scouring breakers yards
