I have been using Flightradar24 for a long time, we even check our own flights on there, it is very useful!! :)
I dont think the free version lets me go back and track that amsterdam flight yesterday MIck, but I suspect one of the subscriptions would....you dont happen to have the enhanced service do you?

I have a basic subscription which allows me to search over the last seven days providing I have one of: Flight number, Aircraft Registration, Origin or destination airports. I don't think I can recall a radar plot of a specific time and date but I'll have a look! :)

From the attached screenshot you can see the three trans atlantic destinations, circled in red, whose flight paths to AMS pass over the northeast. Also there is Iceland just off this screenshot. They are Calgary, Vancouver and Seattle. The more southerly US destination's paths come over southern England so not really candidates. Of course it may not be AMS but what time was it? :)

So my best bet for that flight remains Amsterdam to Boston, which left Amsterdam at 4.50 yesterday afternoon.

Afraid not Neil, as you can see that flight cut the coast at Bridlington!!: :)

When I flew to the USA last time LHR to BWI one of my friends tracked the flight and it passed right over my house. :-D

Thats great Mick! Thanks. I didnt allow for the time differences when I pulled that one out yesterday!

WE left Alnmouth at about 5.20..Mick and I took the photo I would probably say between 4.50 and 5.20. Amsterdam time is 1 hour ahead of Newcastle Falcon Time!

Watching the flights this morning the trajectory up from Amsterdam fits in quite nicely thats why I thought it would be coming from Amsterdam.

The Dallas flight which I tracked this morning from Amsterdam cut the coast at Blyth...only 20 miles or so away from Alnmouth.

So you took the shot 17.50-18.20 Amsterdam time which suggests the flight could have taken off 17.00-17.40ish. The only flight in that time frame is this one:

Which, sadly, is listed as status unknown so I cannot track it!! Murphy strike's again!!

So methinks it either was that flight or it didn't come from Amsterdam!! :-D

I think we can safely assume it wasnt the Chicago flight...that would have been one of these

It was designated as a cargo flight which is possibly why it was not on the available status list!

Back to the close up, it looks a bit like a Dreamliner to me so that may help find it, but I'm concentrating on the Grand Prix now and will return later!! :-D

There are three major airlines with red tails but only one of them has a fully white underside so maybe a Turkish Airlines plane:

If your times are slightly out here is a good possibility, crossed the coast at 34000 feet around 4.20, turkish airlines, on route:
