So what's the lady owner's name :?:
The other thing which may help is....how on earth do I know so much about the car :?:

Here's another factoid the dealer was John Darke Volvo and at the service on 30.05.91 the mileometer read 9.665 miles!

That's it done Mick, good work :-D Nicely presented interesting car :-D On the back of some of those details I think I'll give Lincolnshire and outing on POTD. We had a little holiday there a couple or so years ago just because we had never been there before!

I can possibly find a couple of shots from our visit to the Battle of Britain flight a couple of years ago too. We stayed in a brilliant caravan, details available, and I was able to fish the lake while SWMBO sat on our terrace and chatted to me on my "private" fishing stage. :-D

Who's Mrs Joan Smith when she's at home? And more worryingly, am I supposed to know her?

:rofl2: No Marc, she's just the lady that bought the car in 1990 and is now selling it with the fullest history I've ever seen because she has retired from driving:

You wouldnt believe it but I just put Volvo 740 GLE 1990 for sale into a search engine and number one out is not our Volvo 740 owned by Mrs Joan Smith and Supplied by "John Darke Volvo Louth" but another example of the provenance chasing writing of classic car ads.....
Volvo Classic Cars 740 For Sale | Car and Classic
www.carandclassic.co.uk › list › 740
Time -warp condition Volvo 740 GLE Auto 2.3 Estate. First registered to a Mr Skelton of 'Metal Oil Treatments ltd supplied from John Wallwork Volvo Cheshire on .

A vaguely relevant Volvo comment. My sister in law had a 2CV. Then she got a job with a Scandinavian Pharma company. On her first day she was issued with her shiny new company car - a 740 GL in a sort of mid powder blue colour. She is barely 5 ft tall, so it always appeared that the car was driverless especially from behind because that huge headrest hid her entirely. She lived in a very small cottage, the boot became permanent overflow storage/wardrobe so was always full - if you went anywhere you had to put your bags/picnic/walking gear on the back seat. An impressive amount of junk was hauled up and down the country.

Some bits of the design-by-ruler were pretty good. In the 940 estate the back seats were slightly raised so occupants had a decent view ahead. We had a couple on our company fleet and I was tempted when children and prams came along. The V70 wagon arrived so got one of those instead. (Sadly Citroen weren't on the list, if they had been the XM Estate would have been a magnificent choice) The V70 had a 5 pot engine and it always annoyed me, even though I wasn't paying, that the service invoices showed 2 x sets of 4 plugs. Somewhere a Volvo garage foreman is a spark plug millionaire by keeping the leftovers.

Thats going to have to be a researched one Mick! Chris did do some pics of the Stelvio Pass recently so as a random TOH complete guess I'll go for that expecting to be wrong.

Did Lewis Hamilton win it?

The random TOH is working well!! It is indeed the Stelvio Pass, going up which caused the car to overheat and this pitstop with the bonnet open!
And yes Lewis took pole and won from Bottas, full info here

A bit extra on our Monza trip, when we arrived all the campsites were full but a site right next to the circuit squeezed us in under the playground swings:
