Helllo guys,
Lot's of topics regarding air-con issues on pre 2008 C5, but none ( at least I couldn't find) for X7.
The problem with my X7 is that when I put the air-con on auto, it blows hot air over driver's feet, everywhere else - cold.
On manual- blows cold air on drivers feet..
Did someone had same issue on C5 X7?
Any help greatly appreciated

Hi and welcome
If the air temperature is changing and not stuck on hot or cold, then the air mixer stepper motors are at least working, so unlikely to be that. Same for the air distribution motors.
When set to AUTO, what temperature settings (left and right side) have you set?
What happens when you have it on AUTO and then set the left and right hand side to say 16? Are you still getting hot air or not at this setting (and allow enough time for the motors to change the air distribution and air mixing)?

One other thing, make sure that there are no objects blocking, covering or attached to the windscreen that are obstructing the sunlight from hitting the sunlight sensor on the dashboard (the little round 'bump' centre forward of the dash).
The dual zone system sensor allows it to differentiate between the sunshine and the intensity of the rays on the left-hand side and on the right-hand side of the passenger compartment.

Re: C5 2008 X7 blow hot air on driver's feet, air-con on auto
Thank you.
Usually I keep it at 22, regardless of the season...
Brief update - it blows warm/not to hot air also on the passanger's feet.
When on 16, it gets colder for sure.
For short rides it doesnt bother me at all, but on longer( 50+ killometers) it is frustrating, my feet are going to melt
Also the plastic covers of the middle tunnel are getting realy hot, can't touch them with my legs on long trips.
There are no objects near the sensor.

Do you have access to Lexia kit with Diagbox? Actuator tests can be performed on the stepper motors to test their operation, and also it will determine if there are any fault codes.
If on manual control, you can change both the air distribution from Windscreen, to Windscreen / Centre vents, Centre Vents, Centre Vents / Floor Vents and finally Floor Vents only and also the temperature settings from Cold to Hot on both sides, then I would be suspecting the Climate Control ECU panel. But if you can get it diagnosed, then this may confirm it - or any fault codes you get, post them here and I can tell you what the issue is.

After the global test, when I celect air-con says "E.C.U. not recognized check your choise", but when I hit enter it finds it and no faults can be found...
motors are working properly...

Hmmm... it should be able to pick it up without issue, what version of Diagbox are you using? If it's not detecting it automatically then I would again suspect the ECU - as this should easily be picked up. As a result, I wouldn't rely on it reporting faults if it cannot detect it....

Yes, the ECU is incorporated into the Panel. I would suggest going to 7.58 which is a good stable version and introduced testing by ECU, rather than having to wait for the Global.
