Heres a snapshot of Rog in that episode. Unfortunately IMCDB will not help because yes the assembled car spotters on that site have failed to capture the brief moment that car appears in the episode.

This should help in getting the answer. This is a quaintly named West Berlin Railway Station. Not many episodes of the Saint featured this location probably just this one.

Thanks Mick spot on! pleased you persisted and came up with the goods. I dont know about your route, but I arrived at it through the go-to Avengerland and locations in Germany, and picked out Berlin with a view to creating a link on the Chain thread. Then on IMdb for that episode I saw that bit of Bond trivia which I thought might spark a little interest. :-D

I got sidetracked in the belief that you had Honor Blackman on your mind from the post of her at Hebden Bridge and taking the Goldfinger link I went looking for her in The Saint. Once I found her I spent ages checking all the other actors in her episode for participation in Bond. Fruitless as you know! :-D Then I went to Avengerland and followed the first part of your route to discover the episode filmed in Berlin and then I went back to Wiki to checkout each actor and found them as I went through the cast. Peter Taylor being the most obscure!! So I missed the IMdb info altogether which may have shortened my time!! :-D

Don't need another one like that for a while!! As yet my Salisbury to Haworth link hasn't been identified on The Chain!!

I'm limbering up for University Challenge night, but I'll pop across and see if I can work it out. Salisbury got renamed to Harare in Zimbabwe not sure if thats the African link. Other thoughts initially maybe a character called Salisbury in one of the Bronte's books but didnt come up with a link as yet.

Top of my head....no. But the phrase "once in a Blue Moon" would suggest that it isnt a frequent occurence.

Blue light has a short wavelength so I am guessing a blue moon may occur when the earths orbit takes it closest to the sun.

Probably easy to look up so I'll leave it at that for now, and wouldnt be surprised if my deduction is 100% wrong :-D

From memory - it's two full moons in any one calendar month ? Although it may possibly be only the second of the two full moons that qualifies as the Blue Moon. Or the first :-D

Bobins, your second option is correct. The Blue Moon is the second full moon in a month.

Not being facetious James but is that in a calender month or a lunar month? I assume calender as by definition a lunar month could only have one full moon, but to save me looking it up I thought I'd just check :-D

Calendar month. If there was a full moon on the first of July there would then be another full moon at the end of July. This second full moon is the Blue Moon.

The next Blue Moon will be on 31st October this year.

Oops, sorry people. According to a website I found the traditional Blue Moon is the third full moon in an astronomical season where there are four full moons. The website does also explain the definition I gave;

Now lets keep our quizzing and finding out skills well honed...

It would be a terrible shame if newly acquired knowledge wasnt put to use so,

Whereisthisthen?

Now the full and unadulterated information is there.....all it takes is a bit of spreadsheet downloading and searching to look it up. Other searches may be even quicker, all of its unique references are there.

The spreadsheet says it is the B6345 ROAD BRIDGE which I assume to be the one just west of Acklington!
