Car Slogans/tag lines/marketing phrases

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

I tried to to an arty sort of car brochure-ey photo of my BB Micra and nicked a slogan from Nissan to describe it

"You can in a Nissan"

So in quick fire fashion lob up a few examples of the slogan/marketing phrase/tagline from the world of motoring and let's assemble a collection of the best and the worst and bludgeon off topic on various tangents along the way.

Hopefully an easy one to join in with...participants needed

Regards Neil

One of my favourites, the tag line at the end of the Joanne and David adverts. Could have only been the 80's and you would hope that Renault had their tongues firmly in their cheeks with those ads...

Renault 25- One of your better decisions.
Who is Joanne in the Renault 25 Ads ?

You may have heard "The Ultimate Driving Machine" before, but maybe not from 1967, long before BMW decided to run with it. Pontiac gave it an airing here describing the Pontiac GTO

I'm waiting for 'Buy one get one free' from a car company. :)

Back in the "credit crunch" in 2008, the DM reported it was happening in the US!

..and marketed here as well, but everything was not quite as it seemed....again is back in time to 2009
https://www.lovemoney.com/news/3157/buy ... t-one-free

Buy a Vectra get a corsa free. How can that be done...

Inflate the price of the Vectra, and throw in a nearly new demonstrator Corsa. Turns out the Vectra elsewhere plus a similar corsa elsewhere ends up being not a kick in the pants off the BOGOF price of the Vectra alone.
