Wedgewood Mexico would be my suggestion?

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Ill spent youth round the boot sales looking for bargains that I could make a few bob on at the antique fairs!! Some I know and some I havn't got a clue, just maintain an interest which is why I am now in posession of my mate's wife's collection!!

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Here's one for ya!
Should be Picts of the day, trying my new ringflash out.
Weird, pic did a reverse Davie. Right way up for normal image, fell over when zoomed, just caught the cups before they fell off the table.

Like it Steve, I'll have a delve but may be beaten to it by other tableware connaisseurs on the FCF

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Drawing a blank so far Steve.
I guess the answer to your coffee set is right here. I've tried but I just can't get it clear enough to read it.
How about just a tiny clue.....Scandinavian or English?

Decipherers, Ceramics experts, and Pickled Egg Question Setters
Lend me your ears.......
The coffee set of Myglaren needs a name.
The engines of the search have so far failed me.
Who shall end the misery that ensueth?
I call on you, to rise to the challenge.
And slay the anonymous pot and its frivolous
mocking cups and saucers
with a simple makers name and pattern!

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
I don't recognise that pattern at all, the pot shape is similar to a Royal Staffordshire set I saw but the pattern is alien to me!

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
As you know I don't have the benefit of google translate but if you have you may have some luck finding this set on:
http://allegroexpress.ru/category/view/26171/?page=257
I came across the site by drilling down into a picture of a similarly shaped pot. There are only 264 pages to look through!!

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Would it be Scandinavian in origin ? If it is, then I've got naff-all chance of working out the text
The first line of the text looks like it could be B.E. Sxxxxxxxx

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Where's our Steve? He's achieved just about the prefect blur for the bottom of that cup
I did one of those invert colours so the text was in white and the background black seemed to make it tantalisingly clearer, but no nearer making out the words

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
When I restored the coffee set to the cabinet I did try and read the bottom of the cup and failed.
Scandinavian was a good guess but it is West German, all I could read. May take a photo and blow it up see if it becomes decipherable.
