Bought a C8 with a mangled front drivers door, but managed to locate a Pug 807 one in the same colour as a swap, which has now been done.
Door lock works as well as indicator on wing mirror, but the wing mirror adjustment and control of windows from drivers door does not work.
Seller advised that windows etc all worked, and they previously all worked even though door was mangled.
I've cleaned the connector on the off chance, but as the locking was working thought connection was ok.
Also changed the switch with the one from the previous door with no success.
Anyone got any ideas. Is there a reset procedure I need to get done, or possibly a LEXIA session.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks again.
(As an extra, the drivers wing mirror no longer folds when car is locked. Not sure if that's related to the issues as above, or might be the cause of the issue if I've fitted a non folding mirror to a car that expects a folding one)

Re: C8 - Front Door Swap
Can you confirm that you are using the mirror from the 'new' door?
Is your old mirror usable to try?
There is a door control ECU located inside the door, might be worth swapping your original back in as it will be programmed with your cars settings.
Also check for ant damaged wires inside the harness that goes between the body & the door.
It may be a non folding mirror you have fitted but I would have thought the glass adjustment would still work.

Re: C8 - Front Door Swap
These had different electrical architectures (CAN CAN or CAN VAN) so if you have fitted a door with the wrong internal electrical harness, it won't talk to the car. I suspect this is your problem.gadgetgricey wrote: ↑09 Jul 2020, 07:55 Bought a C8 with a mangled front drivers door, but managed to locate a Pug 807 one in the same colour as a swap, which has now been done.

The same applies to the door control module - there were 2 versions so you may have the incorrect one for your vehicle.

Re: C8 - Front Door Swap
Thanks both, so in effect, only way to fix is take wiring loom from door that is off the car, and fit/replace on door that is on the car..
Along with associated modules, wing mirror etc.

Re: C8 - Front Door Swap
That would make sense - as the looms and kit also changed depending on build date, so you have this issue as well as the type of multiplexed wiring in use. Doing that should be fine.

Re: C8 - Front Door Swap
Another job for the weekend
At least the central locking works on the door, so no great rush.
