Hello,
We have just noticed that the clutch is slipping on our 2014 C4 Grand Picasso.
I know there was a recall for the clutch some a year or so ago but I am not sure if ours was ever done.
I am posting the VIN here as I have seen other posts where any oustanding recalls have been checked by a helpful memeber.
Can someone check for me please?
Many thanks.

Even if there was a recall I'm pretty sure there would be no come back on a 6 year old clutch - and then you'd be left to pick up the bill for main dealer charges and parts. Better to get a decent indy to stick a new clutch in it....

No outstanding recalls on this vehicle, and the only technical issues relating to the clutch are the creaking or metallic noises when pressing the clutch pedal.
You have a good old 6 speed manual box (non-piloted), so no issues to worry about withe the hydraulic actuators.
So probably your clutch is on the way out - but plan to replace the dual mass flywheel at the same time to save labour later on - realistically, they won't last the life of a new clutch and if it breaks up can cause peripheral damage.

Thank you very much for your reply Marc.
It is very helpful (although not for the bank balance
) and informative.
Much appreciated.

It does look like a new clutch and flywheel is going to be required.
What sort of cost are we looking at, any idea?
Thanks again.

Re: C4 Grand Picasso 1.6HDi
The dual mass flywheel will range from about £300 up to £760 depending on brand / new or exchange.
A clutch kit will be from £334 to £480 again, depending on brand and new or exchange.
Labour is about 7-8 hours for the flywheel alone - so possibly a little more for the clutch.

Re: C4 Grand Picasso 1.6HDi
Citroën dealer confirmed it needed new clutch.
Also said they (that dealer specifically I presume ) don't change the flywheel at the same time ad a matter of routine.
Clutch and cylinders replacement cost was £1200 .
When pushed about DMF said they could do that for an extra £795 but felt it unnecessary.
We have gone for just the clutch for now.
Will see if they change their mind when they actually get the clutch out and see the flywheel.
