Depends on your plans/destinations/aspirations - but wouldn't fancy holding that spare in place while securing it.

My thoughts exactly as I watched it drive out of the parking lot. Surely it would require a winch?

Might need a powerful heater though. Oh, and waterproofs.

Quite a lot of campers and motorhomes hit the awful button for me, especially the gross overblown ones.

This hits the category of just looking a bit top heavy

Mathewsons have a few motorhomes/campers on their list for the August 22nd Sale. The Rover P5 I have elevated to POTD, and then there is this little French Romahome.

Always fancied a C15 Romahome but they are way beyond my budget now...

The C15 (and later Berlingo) Romahome is an amazing machine. It's remarkably comfortable, useful, and spacious given how tiny it is. Just looked it up and you can indeed pay a remarkable amount of money (5 or 6 grand) for one in decent nick.

A Volkswagen Type 2 (T3) AKA the T25 or "Wedge". Probably a far better van than the previous T1 or T2 campers, and cheaper.

Here is a collection of motorhomes.

Interesting in that its basically the Airbnb model ported to campervans.
Hire a camper/motorhome from a private owner.

If there ever was an underused asset its the hugely expensive bits of driveway furniture that are campervans and motorhomes, sitting there idle, more often than they are able to be used.
