I have as a part of a service checked the power steering fluid on my 2014 3008 1.6HDi an discovered that it needs topping up. I only have the hand book for the car and can find no specification for the fluid to use.
I have some Dexron 2 in the garage which is pink and some Febi bilstein M6162 which is almost clear in colour both of which can be used for power steering systems. The existing fluid looks like the M6162 it is certainly not pink.
Could anybody offer guidance here
Thanks
Graham

Re: Power steering fluid
I'm not 100% but I think you require a fluid called PSA Fluide DA.

Re: Power steering fluid
Yes that's the one
It's the new name for LDS and is the only one recommended for use in the Power Steering System. I wouldn't risk putting in anything else.

Re: Power steering fluid
Great thanks EDCS and Marc
Do you know of a supplier or is it a trip to the main dealer tomorrow?
I guess I should do the brake fluid as well, is any sort of DOT4 (I assume) OK?
Thanks again for the great feedback on this site.

Re: Power steering fluid
Whilst not the genuine TOTAL product, I've used this in my C5 (for both the steering and suspension):
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hydraulic-Fl ... SwKgxevpAQ
If you want the genuine stuff, this seems to be a good deal:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Total-Fluide ... Sw8A1dqaxx
Don't worry about the DA / LDS difference in name, they are both made to the exact same PSA standard.
