Engine fault repair needed

Hello all I had an engine fault come up on my display this morning with eml car drives fine was told it could be a 02 sensor does this sound about right or could it be something more serious

It could be an O2 sensor, but it could also be about 15 other things i can think of off hand.
Without getting a diagnostic check done anyone would just be stabbing in the dark im afraid.
