Blow me down with a feather!!! That is the rear entrance to the St Mary's Estate in North Mymms and I don't think I've ever driven down to the front entrance and hence I didn't recognise the scene. However it is confirmed on IMdb that it is!!

I have never known what things have been filmed in our part of the world although TV crews and O/B units are a fairly common sight around that area. Interestingly I had the Stag on the loanee list with Elstree Studios for two years after completing it and while waiting for the market to rise but they didn't call upon it. Shame because I was hoping that it might pay for it's own storage fees! :-D
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

I came across this site Mick which has some excellent info on filming round about North Mymms
https://www.northmymmshistory.uk/2018/ ... early.html

Includes the relevant bits from The Avengers Season 5 Episode 8 Hidden Tiger.

This was also an interesting location which might have made a decent quiz from within that article

I'm so glad you didn't put that one up. I didn't initially recognise it, mainly because of the sign I think, but that would have been embarassing as I actually worked at that station on an RF interference fault for a local subscriber (customer nowadays) who was suffering intermittant tinkling of their yard bell!! :-D

On the way home I stopped to get a full picture of the North Mymms Park gates as the Stag one just doesn't do it:

Lovely Mick, so good it needs posting twice :-D

I think that would be a good one for the C5 Gallery too!

I thought when you were getting a picture for the PE quiz there was going to be a nice little question to get my teeth into :-D

OK the kettle has boiled!!

This little picture quiz will keep you amused for a little while. 10 points for each picture correctly identified. 10 points for naming the odd one out, and 20 points for making my somewhat obscure link to my war memorial picture posted on the POTD today. A 10 point bonus for naming the daily newpaper that could have helped in identifying the pictures, :-D 100 points available in total. :-D

The pictures:

Good stuff Mick, back from the dog walk so I'll enjoy giving that a go, I'll take my time though and do an all at once answer. I am taking daily newspaper to mean just that Mick but just to kick off you could maybe rule these one out for me....both weeklys
Spoiler: show
The Illustrated London News which was a weekly, or Picture Post also weekly

Mick, If you want a bit of brain exercise while the rest of us participate in your quiz, I'm just about to shove what for you should be a one spanner job over on Find the Answer in the FCF.

Cheers Neil

The odd one out may prove tricky as you have one picture incorrect according to my research. If you get that one correctly then the odd one out will apply and be fairly obvious I would think!! :)

Spoiler: show
Would that be the Green Park/ St James Park dilemma do the gates border the two, I have seen pics of the same thing identified as both. Its the left hand side of the Canada Gates I believe. Anyway the Park Gates would be odd one out as they are not a residence.
How you getting on with the Beltane...New clue given if you havent seen it!

The gates which you have a dilemma with are described as St James' Palace Gates in my source!! Hence they are not the odd ones out ! :-D

The Daily Newspaper

The Guardian
The Odd One Out
Spoiler: show
Tricky....Holyrood House is the Palace of Holyrood House so all are described as "Palaces"
So perhaps St James Palace, residence of Minor Royals not heads of state.
The Link with the war memorial picture
Spoiler: show
Is the link to the odd one out, or to all six "gates" in General? Still a blank on that.
