How many left gives this graph. Effectively shows that at the end of Q4 2000 there were no C5's registered in the UK, so yours in february 2001 is definitely going to be an early one.

Cant imagine anyone recalls the launch of the c5 in the UK, but the motoring press or the Sunday motoring supplements may have mentioned it at the time if the Citroen publicity department had its act together. Not a great time for launching a new car...January February, when the reg changes in March and buyers in general would hang on for that. So all in all someone registering a new model in February maybe got a deal they couldnt refuse.

All in all I reckon you are right about it being one of the first.

Hi Patrick, I believe it is possible to get the name of the registrating dealer from the DVLA but I'm not certain. Do a search on the DVLA website and see if you can get the dealers name. I think you may have to write in to get that information but in view of COVID they may do it over the phone! If the dealers are still in business contact them and ask if they can help!! Worth a try!! Re popping over to see you next week are you about during the day? :-D

I tutor on Sunday afternoons in Elstree so I could pop in for a socially distanced chat on the way around 12-12.30 if that suits you. I'll PM you my mobile number and you can text me, or ring me with address info. Cheers

Sometimes the very early examples of each model (particularly the high spec ones) were registered by Citroen UK and used as management company cars, this would be likely if your car was originally registered in Coventry.
