Currently none of the LNER's Azuma Class 800 trains have been named, although a competition was announced last month for names to be submitted for consideration for 10 of the trains.
LNER celebrates Azuma first birthday with the chance to name a train

LNER is encouraging customers to get creative and submit names which reflect the picturesque LNER route, notable destinations, community heroes or rail icons from history.

The new names will be selected based on relevance to the LNER route and the communities served by the new Azuma fleet, and will be decided by a selection panel compromising of representatives from LNER communities, the rail industry and colleagues.

Any suggestions for names :?:
I always liked the Deltic Names from Famous Racehorses. Quite meaningless if you didnt realise the connection, but a certain aura about them. I think St Paddy was the exception

Meld, Pinza, Alycidon, Crepello, Tulyar, Ballymoss, Nimbus, Ballymoss

GWR have named a good number of ther 800 Class trains from Hitachi
800 025 was the latest to be named on 30th April 2020, do you know what name was chosen :?:

Has anyone seen this train or read about this train. Probably a unique "naming" of a train.

GWR Harold Day and Allan Leonard Lewis are the names on the front and rear units, together with the names of over 2,500 Great Western Railway workers who lost their lives in the war, and feature photographs and stories of some on each carriage together with a poppy. on Class 800 Hitachi Intercity Express Train 800 306.
