It's kind of similar to the old key pad system fitted on earlier models, if you input the code to unlock the ECU the disconnect the keypad when it is unlocked the ECU will stay unlocked forever, even if the battery is disconnected or ECU is unplugged. The locking time delay varies depending on whether the door has been opened or not, cant remember how long it is but i know its quite long if the door has not been opened/closed.
Anyway here is what i have compiled for the CPH pin allocations, please update if there are positions with no wires or unallocated.

15 way Black
Pin 1 - Permanent live
Pin 2 - Indicator output
Pin 3 -
Pin 4 - Permanent live
Pin 5 - Ignition live (unfused)
Pin 6 -
Pin 7 -
Pin 8 - Central Locking trigger
Pin 9 -
Pin 10 - Indicator output
Pin 11 -
Pin 12 -
Pin 13 - Earth
Pin 14 - Central Locking trigger
Pin 15 - Output to interior lights

26 way Yellow
Pin 1 - Door open switch (Right)
Pin 2 -
Pin 3 - Door open switch (Left)
Pin 4 -
Pin 5 - To lock/unlock switch in door motor (Left)
Pin 6 - To Engine management ECU (Joined with pin 7)
Pin 7 - To Engine management ECU (joined with pin 6)
Pin 8 - To pin 3 of transponder aerial
Pin 9 -
Pin 10 -
Pin 11 - To pin 11 of diagnostic socket
Pin 12 - To pin 5 of transponder aerial
Pin 13 -

thanks this is great!

now thats interesting, in the diagnostics (via ODB socket) it has the option to detect rear doors left and right. makes me wonder if pins 2 and 4 of the yellow connector are for those doors. be interesting to test that.

the next thing i will be looking into is the steering wheel controls for the radio. i however suspect these to be resistive, i just need to find which wires are the control wires.

on the black connector:
pin 2 is the left side indicator output.
