And heres some trivia jumping out of our landing at Quito by pure random chance this afternoon which I didn't know.
Could be useful if they come up on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire"
Ecuador is spanish for Equator
Quito is the second highest Official Capital City in the World (La Paz is No 1)
Quito is the closest Capital City to the Equator
The old Mariscal Sucre International Airport in Quito (where "our" 747 was making its approach) ceased all operations at 19:00 on February 19, 2013, On the morning of February 20, 2013, all operations moved to the new Mariscal Sucre International Airport 18km from the City

Spotted a Swan Family this morning on the River Kennet in Reading (opposite the Queens Road car park. There are six cygnets, which is unusual (and I hope they all make it to adulthood);

Yet again I've been guilty of taking my eyes off the ball and missed my 2400th post celebratory car. Particularly irritating as I think it is one of the prettiest cars ever made:

Bodged 'sprinkler'. Too idle to get up from the kitchen table to take the photo.
I was watering the plants on the other side of the wall :)

Well this website was very good indeed, loaded up my horizontal photo it came up with the goods

It isnt an orchid, I think the Brown Bugle is the closest pic although some variations are given.

Just had a read of the RHS site, says it's a treatment for diarrhoea.
