Peugeot Boxer, 2.0 HDi DW10TD. Production year 2005. Vin VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Hi, any help, advice would be very much appreciated. Since last week my van developed some strange noise. I dont have any problems with starting it or any power loss, goes well as always. Doesnt matter if the engine is cold or warm, if i press or depress clutch. Noise goes away over 1200rpm, goes straight back when i depress accelerate. Timing done about 10k miles ago, service and filters 1k ago. Diagnostic with pp2000: no codes whatsoever.
Ive allready ordered both crankshaft pulleys, aux belt tensioner and both belts hoping for the best. Question about crankshaft pulleys, if using an impact wrench to remove them do i still have to lock the flywheel ? If so how can i do this ? And since im asking so many questions allready, could someone decode my Vin ?
Thanks guys.

Not normally, a decent impact gun should remove it no problem without locking. Its best if possible to undo the bolt with the engine warmed up, the bold will normally have threadlock on it & a warmed up engine will help to soften it.pieter7472 wrote: ↑24 May 2020, 19:27 Question about crankshaft pulleys, if using an impact wrench to remove them do i still have to lock the flywheel ?
