Any advice chaps are you locked out of my thread? It's a flat spot at 3000rpm in 4th that you can drive through but you can't in 5th? Anything please, I don't know this engine or the gadgetry.

Spoke to Rich and he didn't replace the turbo, I was mistaken. He remembers a 'flat spot'. It's at 3000rpms which is where the power should be at it's best. Not had chance to look at the solenoid as yet, infuriating to say the least....

I always got the most lasting results by sandblasting then red lead oxide paint before the normal primers and top coat, not sure if you can even still get that but the rust never came back through it.
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

Hi Pete
Happy to get shot down in flames here but based on personal experience with the Devil Car here goes.

First off the location of the Turbo solenoid valve aka Turbo electro valve.
Stand in front of the vehicle (with bonnet open lol ) and imagine a vertical line directly down the middle of the windscreen, now split the left hand side as you look into 2 equal sections.
Where that virtual line is is pretty close to the location of the said valve (but maybe slightly closer towards the middle of the screen) which is bolted on the back of the engine, you may need to remove the engine cover and clamber onto the slam panel and use a lamp to peer down to see it.

Assuming you have the same double butterfly air doser as i had the symptoms you are having are those i had, although at the time i did not realise, driving the Devil Car occasionally yes it felt a little flat but compared to a 1.4 2005 C4 it was fine.
One of the valves was sticking and coupled with the solenoid valve filter being blocked it caused me to have a Service and risk of filter blocking issue.
Yet it could and did drive through a flat spot which i cannot say was 3k revs but from memory somewhere close although i didnt realise at the time.
I did not have a Lexia at the time to check but thinking back the symptoms were there, i just didnt understand them. My understanding is that if the air doser detects a fault it will be cleared if it functions correctly for a given number of times afterwards ??
Can you check if the regens are taking place?
Just my opinion on my experience and looking back to understand the things i missed

Cheers Colin, but my set up is a bit different, no double doser and no fap. The uneven running at low revs when cold is the same repetition in seconds as the flat spot at 3K in 4th and 5th.
Not an issue with tootling round lanes at 50-60 but wouldn't want to have to put my foot down on the motorway.
Thanks
Pete

So that looks like like no need for turbo boost, not under load maybe <2k revs. Purely a fix it at home bloke with expert advice from here then its not unfixable , just not sure why you have a turbo position fault and not an under boost issue.
Have you done/seen a report on Turbo boost live data when you have the flat spot?
It has to be something simple, its only air and fuel that makes it go bang lol

Yep, It's something simple Colin, will look at the live data for boost, just have to find out where, there are many menus..

Update, thinking through this a bit more last night. It would drive normally if you could get it through the 3K barrier, so not vacuum related. It's getting a false signal from somewhere and reacting to that not knowing that the info is cobblers.
Unplugged the MAF, no issues apart from a depollution fault and a MIL.
Has anyone got the pinout info to test the plug in the loom please. It's either the sensor or the wires but with no fault codes when it was plugged in I'm guessing the MAF was just sending incorrect info, if it was the wires I'd expect the car to know something was wrong and throw a fault but I'd like to confirm the wires all the same.
