Thanks in advance for any replies..
Does any one know if the engine / gearbox in both above mentioned vehicles are the same?
From memory I think the C5 2.2 gearbox is a 6 speed ?
The gearbox in my relay is 5 speed.

I believe the 2.2 HDi fitted to a 2004 Relay is an 8v engine & a 2.2 HDi C5 of the same era is a 16v engine. Both totally different.

yes Wheeler is right, bnd..
the 2.2 8 valve appears to be an ok if slightly odd thing. It shares a lot of parts with the 110HP 2.0 HDi engine, yet seems to have less power and torque !?
Mine has increased output now, works well and suits the application ok for what it is - an engine designed in the 90's to replace the XU series as far as I know.
I haven't looked at the gearbox ID much, but being a van, I imagine some parts are uprated/HD.
