FCF Desert Island Discs

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

If you were to be cast away alone on a desert island, which eight gramophone records would you choose to have with you, assuming of course, that you had a gramophone and an inexhaustible supply of needles".
Well in the slightly amended FCF version of "Desert Island Discs" we will not bother with the book and the luxury item and I would suggest a Max of 9 Gramophone Records. Makes a nice little grid, 8 is a bit clunky.

The beauty of the FCF Desert Island Discs is that you can have more than one go at it, you can take Long Players or singles, or random tracks. As I encouraged in my 10,000 th post to this very forum......just join in!

So here's a selection of long players that would keep me going personally for a while,

Good to see you posting again Neil, however this is going to take some thinking about so I'll be back when I have my selection sorted. Here's my sad confession, I don't recognise a single one of your choices so I feel some research coming on too!! :-D
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Thanks Mick. You don't have to put all nine up at once.....one a day would do just as well,,, and keep the thread active :-D

And so you're back !
(From outer space)
:-D

I can see 2 Joni's and a Santana so far. Another one I recognise but can't place yet. Another one I think I could work out. The others I've got somewhere between no hope and Bob Hope of working out what they are

I'm going to struggle to work out 9 favourites of my own though. So many to choose from. I'll post some as I settle on them though. :)

Thanks Chris
I've been participating as a viewer since my 10,000th post, but really its more fun to be a player rather than a spectator, and I cant resist a whatsthisthen? and a bit of a delve, and a quiz, and a random link.

6 of my Desert Island Discs so far - but this selection is only valid for this evening as I will no doubt remember others as the days wear on, so I'd expect 2 or 3 of them to be replaced. :-D
6 of the best, so far.
