I used an acrylic Rasberry PI 7" touchscreen mount as a base for my screen mount. Worked really well

Used the 2 complete rectangles to sandwich the screen and chopped up what was left and built ears onto the frame to fit where the OEM screen bolts in. Planned to drill and bolt it in but in the end I got such a neat fit it wasnt required.
If I find issues with movement I can still drill and mount if needs be.
So Ive found out the features seem pretty much all in the head unit not needing the screen to work.
Found out as I accidentally caught the screens power wire and cut it

Headunit isnt too bad in design if a bit blocky. lights up orange like the console with the lights. A touch brighter than the rest of the lights if I was being critical but it is just a touch.

Radio does sit fully home but Im still sorting out the rear wiring and where ill run the head unit USB through.
Havent had a chance to test if it integrates with Android Auto over usb or not.
Also the radio reception is fine. It seemed poor until I discovered I had dislodged the aerial lead previously

Handsfree,bluetooth audio etc works fine.
Apps can be installed with around 10GB free space showing.
Havent tested the DVD drive.
