I bought a Citroen CX prestige 1984. The car did not run and currently I am struggling with the wiring near the battery (see attachement). I managed to get the starter running however do not get petrol. First however I need to solve the wiring near the battery. Could anybody help me with finding out which male and female connectors belong to each other

I doubt that anyone here can make sense of that tangle of wiring, I think that you will need to methodically trace each wire back to a component of harness, then try to match them up with the wiring diagrams in the manual. It is quite likely that some wires are unused on your vehicle (depending on specification and options).
