You may but it depends on:

What System you already have
What system you intend to change it to
Do you have a compatible multifunction display scree with the new system

But in either case, you will have to have the unit coded to the vehicle and may also need to configure the new head unit with the options fitted to your car - i.e. if you have parking assistance - and if so which type, along with other options - as to how the display options are routed. Some units bought second hand are coded to the original vehicle that may have had different options than you vehicle. This can also mean additional work coding the head unit if the donor Head Unit was from a Peugeot with a 'pop up' motorised screen - as this will need changing.

So ideally you will have to have access to a proper diagnostic interface kit with Diagbox that can configure these parameters if you don't want to pay the dealer to do it.

Is this maps, firmware or both you want to update?

Yes - good point - by 'Upgrade the Sat Nav' I've taken this to mean you want to upgrade the complete system, which is different to updating the maps, so which is it?

What maps do you currently have installed? This system is no longer supported by PSA and you may already have the last one available.
