I've got a persistent fault with my C5, diagbox global assessment lists "Headlamp/directional headlamps communication error" in red I tried clicking on fault to open it up and gain more information but nothing happens
Any ideas? Should I be checking wiring etc?

Re: headlamp communication error
I already answered it on your last Diagbox post Gino. That is only for models with directional Xenon headlights - which you don't have, so ignore it. It's possible that in the past at some point the BSI may have been mis-configured with this option and therefore the BSI can't talk to the ECU as it's not there.
- Check in the BSI for the option that says 'Type of Bend Lighting'. This should be set to 'Static Lighting controlled by the BSI'.
- The other option is 'Directional Headlamps' - make sure this is set to 'Absent'

Re: headlamp communication error
oops sorry Marc, didnt notice your post on the diagbox topic. I got a bit confused cos my car does have directional headlights and headlights were also pointing low. No idea if they have self corrected since broken ECU wire was repaired as not driven car at night since lock down began. I'll point car at the garage tonight and have a look
Thanks again
Gino

Re: headlamp communication error
Have you changed your car? The one I have is with VIN ending in 848?
If this is the same car as the one I have for you, you have halogen headlamps, not directional Xenons - hence the confusion on my part...
This is not to be confused with the headlamp vertical levelling motors on Halogen headlamps, which are not the same as the active directional lighting system.
