Footwell lights

Post by Steveo »

Hi
Not been active in posting for a while as a bad back has curbed working on my car , but feeling a little better I thought I would ask one of the experts about the footwell lights .
I'm going to change the colour of the bulbs to amber and having seen another post on the forum regarding changing the bulbs I was just wondering if only the executive (exclusive) had the rear footwell lights
If the answer to this question is yes then does anyone know if the wiring is fitted as standard to the VTR+ so I can retro fit rear lights

Stay safe
Kind regards
Steve

The 'Exclusive' Steve, there's no 'Executive' :-D

Yes only the Exclusive has rear footwell lights. fitted. There are a stack of seat wiring harnesses for the different models and equipment, so if they are not already there in the Seat Harness Loom you can't really retrofit them.

Plenty of options for bulb replacement - LED blades that mimic the W5W bulbs in various colours available just watch the dimensions of some to ensure they fit as they do vary.

Hi Steve - tell me about it - Siri is bad enough - I'm still trying to teach her Citroen Speak!

The only way to be sure if there is any pre-wiring there is to do your Houdini number, legs out the window routine and get under the seat to look to see if there is a little bundle there - usually snapped into place with a cable tie. They are becoming tighter in recent years with more specific harnesses based on options specified / trim levels to save costs. You also don't have the Ambient Lighting options so that may make a difference too. The looms are different for left / right hand drive and of course vehicles with AFIL lateral trajectory monitoring and heated electric memory seats and massaging options etc.
