Rear Screen not working

Hi All, I have just got a 406 1.816v 1996 Model. I just have a little problem in that the rear window demister/defogger does not work. When the switch is pressed a yellow light comes on and when released goes off. I have replaced the switch but with no difference. I was wondering if there might be a relay etc, if so where would the relay be.

check first if voltage is appearing at the strip connectors. If not, then it will indeed be the timer relay which has failed (can you hear a click when you press the switch on?) If there is voltage at the connectors, then it may be that someone has put a big scratch in the rear window, and broken all the stripes. Bad luck if they have, cos they're a pain to repair: Silver conductive goop, and a teeny tiny brush, but only once you've found the break!
