3D printing needed

Post by white exec »

Wonder if anyone can help with this?

Citroen XM, Series 2
Under the front bumper are a pair (left, right) of plastic "tow-eye covers", which are no longer available, and difficult to find anywhere. (Listed as 7418 C8, Bumper access trap assembly, NFP.)

Size is approx 20×20×5cm, and about 2-3mm thick.

Are there any members out there who could 3D print these, in something like ABS (semi-rigid) ?
Colour is immaterial, as they would be painted to match bodywork.

The on-going need for these is (no surprise) on the Club-XM site. That breaking car is advertised there too.
We're actually after some of these in quantity (depending on price, of course), hence the 3D request for help.

If you have a university or tech college in your area have a chat with them, they will often knock up this sort of stuff in small quantities as part of the schooling.

One of my mates once had a Rolls Royce resprayed white as a wedding car by the local school tech class. :-D

You can place a request here: https://forum.freecadweb.org/. I think there was a spanish section also.
There are people, that even build their own printers, so you will probably get not only the part modeled, but also an offer for given quantity.
