C5 X7 front bumper removal

First of all, sorry for spamming, but I was unable to find a tutorial on how to remove the front bumper of my 2009 Citroen C5 X7.

Yeah, found the topic that has some instructions with pics of certain rod etc. This didn’t tell me what should I do before this.

I need to change the daylight lamps, service the hyde oil pump, change one prox sensor etc.

How long does it take for you to remove the bumper?

Viitonen,

Follow the instruction from Marc, I can now take the bumper off in about 30 mins.
Worth doing some other work when off including removal of excess dirt in out of reach places.

Thanks KennyW for the info, what a relief to hear you can do it so fast. Are you able to remove and put it back alone or do you need someone to help you?

Yes, it is relatively easy. It is the size of the bumper which is the issue. If you can get the LED version of DRL's and fit them into plastic cup of the original bulb.

I'll be taking mine off to trace a wiring fault.

Depending on the operation you want to do - you may only have to undo one side of the bumper in turn to access the DRLs if you can't get your hand underneath to take the bulbs out - it is difficult but not impossible. That would save having to take the whole thing off and 2 people.

DRL change is possible without removing bumper, at least on HDi136 and HDi240.
