C5 mark 1 seats

Post by kevino »

Hi guys need to know do the front seats from a C5 mark 2 fit a mark 1.
My driver's seat is worn out and I can't find another.
I want to go peacefully in my sleep just like my granddad, not screaming like his passengers

AFAIK yes. They seem identical to me.

I have a vague feeling that the airbags might be different.
Mechanically it's a 100% fit.

Yes, that could be a possibility.

Yes that is correct, the side airbags are easy to switch over, it is only the connectors that really need changing but it is so easy why disturb the wires ?

All you need to do is release the backing from the seat and the side and there are two bolts to release.

That just made me think - when I replaced my seats for leather, I just took the old set to the skip and chucked them in, no thought whatsoever of removing the airbags. I bet someone was happy :(
