Welcome to Picture of the day Craig, feel free to lob a picture or two up yourself.

If the "What a Car!" was for the Bagheera you will enjoy this

A great read, Neil.

I have just learned that I have unknowingly owned a Matra built car, thanks Neil!! My Renault Espace TXE falls into the category described in that article so I can add another maker to my list. Meanwhile, while we are on the 2 door fastback coupe road, let's not forget our own Ford Capri which I would suggest was probably the biggest selling car, of this type, of all? What do you think?

From the achive Mick....I would agree the Capri is in the perfect place for the nostalgia market. They were so accessable, and so many people had them, and plenty crop up at auctions fetching decent prices.

The biggest "stir" from the live spottings was on a very sunny Sunday afternoon in Callender when three Ford Capris roared into the carpark by the river. The general public love a Capri!

Did I read somewhere that Matra offered the Espace design to PSA, who decided there was no market for such a thing?! :gt: So they offered it to Renault . . .
