Non starter

Post by Drago310 »

I started my 206 fine but as I pulled out it cut out. Now when I turn the key the ignition comes on but it will not even turn over. I have tried a jump start, I have connected a diagnostic reader to the OBD but it cannot connect to the ECU. Ignition displaying eco mode. Any ideas please?

Battery / alternator or engine fuse box - Start with the obvious and check the battery voltage at rest, If there is insignificant voltage it will affect the electronic systems preventing starting / immobiliser issues and the like.

If battery voltage is more or less ok, but the lights go very dim when operating the starter, check the main battery connections. If either of them gets warm when trying to crank, replace the connectors with brass ones.
